MUSICAL PROJECTS
-MAURI introduces XPE (2025)
-LAST REDOUBT (2017)
It is the musical project of Mauri, Alqa and Evvie, in which they release a four-track EP entitled “Requirements” on the French label Unknown Pleasures Records on February 1, 2017.
A project between EBM, electro and punk.
The presentation of the album was on Saturday night March 18, 2017 at the Slow club in Barcelona.
-FLUXUS (2014-2017)
In early 2017 the second album of Fluxus (the project created with Pedro Peñas aka HIV+ and Mauri) is released.
In 2014 they released “Mental Illness” on cd and with a luxurious presentation, between the collaboration of the French labels OPN and Unknown Pleasures Records.
The media impact of this album is enormous worldwide and copies of the CD are sold out in a short time.
-UNFORESEENHEIGHTS (2007)
Musical project with J.A.Nieto (ex-AviadorDro) with whom he recorded the album “Naught” released on the netlabel Enough Records (Portugal).
Unforeseen Heights performs an original live performance by using several cd players to create the music in an improvised and experimental way.
Unforeseen Heights performed live in Xiz (Gijón) in 2008 and their music has been heard on several experimental music radio programs around the world.
OTHER MUSIC-RELATED PROJECTS
- 2017: Production of the music for the dvd presentation of the book “Nochera” with unpublished texts by different authors.
- 2015: Unforeseen Heights project theme chosen for a dance company for “Madrid Got Talent“.
- Musical accompaniment for the performance of the artist Guillermo Menéndez de Llano at the Sala Barjola in Gijón.
- Organizer of the first concert in Spain of DIVE and MONOLITH at Sala Garatge in Barcelona in 1997.
- Music producer for short films and dance shows.
- In 1985 I started my own journalistic work as an amateur, consumer and musical militant. I published some letters to the editor of “La Vanguardia” and “El Periódico” talking about the importance of hip hop and other various topics. I collaborated indirectly with some electronic music fanzines in the 90’s(Das Kinetic Product, Megablast and Self). I made a brief analysis on electro music 90’s in the section“Música a la carta” for the Sónar Festival (An installation that became itinerant). Later I would work with Elegy Iberica and Mondo Sonoro. My last publication was no longer on paper, but “on line” in Selfzine.
